  • When you live in an apartment—a place you don’t own—it’s easy to accept the space as it is. For over a year, I tolerated a cold, boring apartment filled with rental furniture.   • We love to entertain but the new, oddly shaped deck around our pool was not inviting. Marty started by assessing the interior of our home and designed our exterior to complement that. She set up zones, repurposed a large table we wanted to keep, and added comfortable lounge chairs and other furniture. There’s now an attractive bar by our grill. Marty is very accommodating. She understood our objectives and narrowed down our options to keep us from being overwhelmed. We enjoyed all the compliments about our pool area after recently hosting a party for more than 100 people.

  • Thanks to Joanne and Marty, what was once an unused room in our house is now one of our favorites. The ‘barrel room’ incorporates a wine barrel I gifted my husband at our wedding after visiting a vineyard and getting engaged in South Africa.   • It feels like Christmas every time I walk outside! My backyard patio looks like something from a magazine, thanks to Marty, Joanne, and the fabulous team at Elements. It’s a beautiful extension of our living space, a relaxing oasis where I love to retreat to on my own or entertain guests.   • When we first built our home 15 years aso, I designed our bathroom myself and was overwhelmed by all the choices. When it was time to renovate it, I’m so glad I worked with Joanne at Elements. She’s a lovely person and really listened to what I wanted. We went from dark brown earth tones to very pale blue and white tiles, brighter lighting and navy vanity cabinets with plenty of storage to keep the clutter under control. The extra glass panel in the shower lets more light in. It makes me happy. Throughout our project I felt like I was her only client and she was fully invested in getting it right.

  • I knew it was time to update our home of more than 20 years but didn’t know where to start. Marty helped us create a home we love. As a professional speaker, I have traveled around the world and stayed at exclusive hotels and venues. I wanted to capture that look and feel. Our family room, which was light and plain, is now moody and cozy with dark, dramatic walls and custom artwork. Our living room was especially dated with cherry wood trim throughout. Marty transformed it by painting the trim a luxurious neutral color. The stunning centerpiece of our kitchen is a wood lighting fixture, designed in Europe. Marty is so easy to work with, full of great ideas and a wizard with colors and fabrics.
