Our client moved from an apartment into a large home in Scotch Plains, NJ, with the clean, all-white palette often found in newly built homes. We saw an opportunity to bring the home to life with rich color, distinctive patterns, and custom furnishings, and our client trusted us to take the design in a more expressive direction.

In the dining room, dramatic blue Thibaut wallpaper sets the tone, paired with a statement chandelier that makes the space feel ready for a celebration. In the lounge, deeper, moodier tones create the perfect setting for evenings that begin with dinner and linger over after-dinner drinks. That same sense of drama carries into the powder room, where a bold wallcovering makes a memorable statement in a small space.

Color takes a quieter turn in the home office and primary bedroom, where we wanted the spaces to feel both distinctive and relaxing. In the office, a sophisticated blue-gray paint color gives the built-ins presence, while textured wallpaper adds depth. The primary bedroom is soft and sophisticated, layered in shades of purple chosen to create a calm, restful atmosphere.

The result is an elevated interior that balances classic elements with a more design-forward point of view. We loved seeing this home evolve from a blank, all-white backdrop into a space that feels personal, polished, and distinctly its own.
